We export photo/biodegradable masterbatch (film grade).
- Namely photo/biodegradable additive,
photo/biodegradable compound, UV degradable additive.
- Not free of PE.
- Applications: Film, bag, glove, apron, table cloth, rain coat, plant pot etc.
- No need to change conventional facility.
- Light grey in color, photo/biodegradable, pellet is round in shape.
- Adding ratio: 1-5%.
- No stimulation, innoxious, harmless, good plastification and melting flow, regular granule.
- Before and after production, no need to rinse and flush processing facility.
- Processing temperature: No special requirement.
- Sunlight is needed for photodecomposition.
- Free of natural starch, heavy metal, calcium carbonate and talc.
- Film as thin as 0.005mm.
Degradation mechanism
- PE/PP is not degradable because of molecular weight as many as 250,000 Mol so that microorganism is unable to erode PE/PP as carbon source. If PE/PP with 5,000-10,000 Mol, it could be eroded as carbon source by microorganism. Please refer to Norrish Reaction.
- Sunlight is needed for UV photodecomposition.
- Prodegradent (light metal ion such as pre-oxidant and auto-oxidant as well as photodegradable additive) absorbs and accumulates heat energy so that big molecules with higher Mol are embrittled and cracked into small molecules with lower Mol.
- Cellulose attracts and breeds microorganism such as bacteria and fungi.
- Microorganism generated by cellulose around film, small molecules are eroded and swallowed by microorganism, digest system of microorganism turns small molecules into water and CO2.
- Along with decreasing molecular weight, polymer (PE/PP) becomes embrittlement. While molecular weight as small as 10,000 Mol, cellulose breeds more and more microorganism.
- Auto-oxidation catalyzing additive guarantees the continuous degradation in the environment without sunlight.
